Austin College and the Sherman Independent School District are collaborating on a project to integrate the Internet into language classes at the junior high, senior high, and college levels. The project received major funding from the Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund to provide computer laboratories for Austin College, Piner Junior High, and Sherman High School. Single and two-day workshops were held during the spring semester of 2001, to focus on basic issues of using the Internet in a course, finding information, creating lessons, etc. A two-week workshop was held July 16-27, to build on this work and to construct projects and lessons for use in class in the fall.

These pages will serve as the main portal to the work done in the workshop. They will continue to develop through the summer of 2001, so be sure to check back for recent developments.
